This strawberry filling is sweet and delicious, it goes well with anything.
This recipe can be used to fill your cakes, cupcakes and tarts! Or swirl some strawberry compote into your cake batter to create an impressive strawberry swirled birthday cake. Want to try something simpler? Drizzle this over your morning toast or yoghurt. The combinations are endless.

Strawberry Compote Recipe
3 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Water
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
3 Tbsp Water
- For the corn starch slurry, combine water (part 2) and corn starch. Set aside.
- In a pot, cook strawberries, water (part 1) and sugar together until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly.
- Stir in the slurry and boil for a couple of minutes before removing from heat.
- Transfer to a bowl and let cool before using.
